AZIO AI Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZIO) has announced the launch of Atlas One, the first named development phase of its Project Atlas, a more than 548-acre compute infrastructure campus in South Texas. The campus is engineered to support up to 500 MW of planned behind-the-meter power capacity, a scale that positions it as a major player in the region's growing digital infrastructure landscape.
Atlas One consolidates the land, power, connectivity, and modular compute infrastructure that the company has been developing since May 2026. Approximately 6 MW of compute infrastructure, which forms part of roughly 11 MW of secured behind-the-meter power capacity, has been activated and has achieved approximately 97.8% uptime. This initial activation is a critical proof of concept, demonstrating the viability of the campus's power and compute integration.
The planned capacity of up to 500 MW is in addition to the 11 MW already secured, indicating a long-term vision for massive scaling. AZIO is currently deploying capital, equipment, and engineering resources toward the initial 11 MW phase. This includes additional compute containers, generation, electrical infrastructure, natural gas pipeline and metering work, fiber, and site improvements. These investments are foundational for the subsequent phases, which are intended to support AI/GPU hosting, high-performance computing, and dedicated customer capacity, while also retaining capacity for company-operated Bitcoin mining.
A key component of Atlas One is its dedicated enterprise fiber under a Master Services Agreement with AT&T, with approximately $2.4 million committed for high-capacity connectivity. This connectivity is essential for the low-latency requirements of AI and high-performance computing workloads, making the campus attractive to potential customers. However, realizing the full 500 MW capacity will require further generation, equipment, permitting, financing, and customer commitments, as noted in the company's announcement.
The importance of this development extends beyond AZIO's operations. Texas has become a hub for energy-intensive computing due to its deregulated energy market and abundant renewable resources. By building behind-the-meter power infrastructure, AZIO is aligning with a trend where compute facilities are co-located with power generation to reduce transmission losses and costs. This approach also provides grid stability benefits, as these facilities can adjust power consumption during peak demand.
AZIO AI Holdings, formerly Envirotech Vehicles, Inc., is transforming into an integrated compute infrastructure platform. The company's strategy includes GPU and compute system sales, energy-backed AI and high-density compute infrastructure, hosting, and Bitcoin mining. Project Atlas is a central pillar of this strategy, and the activation of Atlas One marks a tangible milestone.
